“[Photography] is a way of shouting, of freeing oneself. It is a way of life,” mused legendary photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. The world of photography has many facets, and photokina 2016 – the industry’s biggest trade fair worldwide – brings enthusiasts from the numerous sides of photo art a bit closer together. From September 20-25 at the Cologne trade fair grounds, the photo lab WhiteWall will exhibit its latest products. True to the event theme of “Experience – test – see,” visitors can discover new developing techniques and get inspired about new imaging possibilities. Moments may come and go, but a picture lasts forever. The WhiteWall stand will feature artworks with razor-sharp details and luminous colors.
Innovative New Products Provide More Room for Creativity
The WhiteWall team of experts will be on hand at Stand E-028 in hall 4.2 to offer advice on the diverse creative possibilities of different substrates. Attendees can get a good look at the Original Photo Print Under Acrylic Glass (in glossy or matte) as well as the Photo Print Under Poured Resin, which gives the picture softer, rounded edges. Those who like a pearly sheen and more dynamic range can see an exciting new print at photokina: the Photo Print on Kodak Metallic paper. At the WhiteWall stand, there are no limits placed on imagination. For large-format pictures, there are many options for metal prints. Aluminum is light but extremely stable. It also offers room to be creative with how the picture looks. For instance, an optional brushed surface provides a metallic shimmer. For a warmer look with an artistic, gallery appearance, look no further than textile and canvas prints on stretcher frames. Depending on the nature of the image, both mediums can be ideal.

According to painter Paul Cezanne, “You have to hurry up if you want to see something, everything disappears.” But not photographs! The captured images keep memories alive forever. With the WhiteWall photobook, they do so with the highest quality and definition. At photokina 2016, the cycle of artistic photography comes full circle. Pictures are created and put forth into the world, where they are received. They trigger emotional reactions that inspire news ways of thinking and new creative processes. It’s safe to say Painter Paul Cezanne wasn’t familiar with WhiteWall when he advised us to hurry up to see something before it disappears. There are, in fact, pictures that last.
